- How to calculate
area and volume,
- Organic and hydraulic loading rates,
- Flow and velocity,
- Detention time,
- Overflow rates and solids loading rates,
- Solids retention time (SRT),
- Return and waste activated sludge rates, and
- Chemical dosage.
Calculations associated with nitrogen removal processes,
sludge conditioning, thickening, dewatering and stabilization, and also
laboratory calculations, as well as how to use various conversion
factors will also be discussed.
