Senate bill S.3561, the Green Infrastructure for Clean Water Act, was introduced on June 30 by Sen. Udall (D-NM) and co-sponsored by Sen. Whitehouse (R-RI).   This piece of legislation would help to establish a Green Infrastructure (GI) technical program under the EPA Office of Water, which would oversee the establishment of a number of “Centers for Excellence” focusing on GI technologies, a clearinghouse for GI-related information, and a GI grants program to promote the use of these technologies across the Country.
