Please visit the Technical Program page for the Final Conference Program and Workshop Listing.
Urban River Restoration 2010 focused on the role of revitalized urban rivers and waterfronts within the context of two major trends: an increased focus on sustainable practices to benefit the environment, and a population shift back to cities, which leads to a renewed emphasis on a livable urban environment.
The joint opening session included an interactive panel discussion and several keynote presentations. Slides from the joint Closing General Session for the Cities of the Future and the Urban River Restoration Conferences are provided as a summary of conference themes and discussions. Also, continue the discussion or pose a question at WEF’s blog about the conference, “Catching the Sustainability Buzz in Boston.”
Proceedings were delivered to attendees at the conference and are now available for purchase after the conference is over. To purchase and/or view all WEF conference proceedings, click here.
Note: The Urban River Restoration conference was collocated with the 2010 Cities of the Future conference to allow unprecedented opportunities for interdisciplinary networking and discussion. Details can be found at www.wef.org/CitiesoftheFuture.
