Title: Exhibition Operations Assistant
Company: Water Environment Federation

Description: The Water Environment Federation is seeking a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and administrative skills to support conference exhibition activities. This position provides a variety of customer service, administrative and project support to include:

  • Processing exhibitor invoices and payments
  • Preparing exhibitor lists for print and electronic media
  • Maintaining exhibitor database, paper and electronic files
  • Maintaining database records/updates for exhibitions area and overseeing report development
  • Assisting with development of exhibitor service manual
  • Maintaining/updating weftec.org Web-page content

Requirements: 

We are seeking candidates with one to two years of conference or exhibition administrative experience or other high-level administrative experience. Candidates must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, databases and e-mail, and also possess excellent organizational, problem-solving, verbal/written communication, telephone, grammar, spelling, proofreading, and editing skills. Ability to travel and work at conference site— including weekend work/travel — and to handle multiple conflicting tasks/deadlines is a must. Title: Operations & A/R Accountant

Job Location: Alexandria, VA 

Description 

Water Environment Federation is seeking a detail-oriented, self-directed Operations and A/R Accountant.  Position monitors and coordinates publication order cycle including reviewing processing, processes cash receipts, and performs A/R collections. 

Requirements 

We are seeking candidates with a combination of education and experience equivalent to a BA/BS and 2+ years related experience in an automated accounting environment.  Experience with Great Plains and AMS preferred.  Prior experience with AR collections desirable.  Must be computer literate with strong Excel and database proficiency and able to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.  Excellent organizational and communication skills required.  CPA candidates preferred.

Description 

The Water Environment Federation is seeking a hands-on, energetic, approachable and detail-oriented human resources director to provide HR expertise, leadership, and assistance to its 90+ employees. As half of a 2 person HR team, this position leads from the trenches, producing tangible work products and working collaboratively to manage and meet the HR needs of the organization while providing advice and guidance to management and employees on HR issues. 

Areas of responsibility include compensation and rewards, talent management, employee engagement, regulatory compliance, staff learning and development, recruitment and selection, performance management, succession planning, strategic planning, and budget management, as well as oversight and direction of employee benefits, wellness programs, and recordkeeping. 

Requirements 

We are seeking candidates with a combination of education and experience equivalent to a BA/BS and 10 or more years directly related HR experience, including 5 or more years of management responsibility, and covers all job responsibility areas. SHRM certification is a plus. Candidates must have demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, HRIS systems, and other HR technology tools like performance management systems as well as a track record of developing and using HR technology tools efficiently and effectively to meet needs. Position requires a customer service orientation, the ability to collaborate with all levels of staff, a commitment to confidentiality, flexibility, a continuous improvement mindset, and exceptional problem solving and communication skills.
