Water Environment & Technology Wins Prestigious 2012 Magnum Opus Award
WEF’s Flagship Magazine Receives Silver Award for Best Engineering/Construction Publication

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The Water Environment Federation (WEF) is a winner of the esteemed ContentWise 2012 Magnum Opus Award, a leading custom media awards program that recognizes excellence in editorial, design, and strategy for organizations using print and online publications as well as social media in their content marketing efforts. WEF’s flagship magazine, Water Environment & Technology (WE&T), received a Silver Award for Best Engineering/Construction Publication in the 2012 Print Industry Publication category.

“The Federation is honored to receive this award, and we are very proud of our WE&T team,” said WEF Executive Director Jeff Eger. “Their outstanding work and commitment to excellence make WE&T the premier magazine in water quality.”

As a 2011 recipient of the Gold award for Best Engineering /Construction Publication, WE&T is now a two-time winner of the prestigious Magnum Opus. Now in its ninth year and presented by ContentWise and the Content Marketing Institute, the awards program has given career-making industry recognition to writers, editors, designers, and communication managers who do exceptional print and online work both in the traditional and social media formats.

Leading custom-publishing professionals who specialize in particular content or design areas judge the awards based on a defined set of criteria specific to each category. They consider such elements as informational and entertainment value, quality of writing and display copy, creative use of imagery and typography, and consistency of color palette and style when selecting award winners.
