Director, Marketing

This new position with WEF will manage the development and implementation of marketing strategies for WEF products and services in support of objectives outlined in WEF’s Strategic Business Plan.  Will utilize marketing analytics, best practices, and competitive data to develop integrated marketing, communications, and promotional activities that drive member value and revenue generation. Also, will coordinate at the strategic and tactical levels with the other functions of the Federation to maximize return on investment.

Position responsibilities include managing the brand positioning strategy and championing all aspects of WEF’s brand management; upholding WEF’s established style across all marketing and communications collateral and promotional materials; maximizing cross-selling opportunities and audience-specific marketing, using analytics to determine optimal approaches; evaluating plans and strategies, managing vendor relationships, and developing the annual budget.

To qualify we are looking for a bachelor’s degree in a related field; 10 years of relevant experience; demonstrated background in developing and executing marketing plans; experience launching new products; skills working with volunteer leaders; and strong supervisory and communications skills.

Coordinator, Content Creation

WEF has a great opportunity for an emerging content creations professional.  The position includes writing and editing copy for a wide variety of WEF publications and products; producing items such as news briefs, news analysis articles, and profiles; editing feature articles and technical papers; and handling social media messages.  You’ll need at least two years’ experience in the publishing business, a degree in a related field, and excellent writing and editing skills.  Given the business of WEF, a background and interest in science and engineering is a major plus.

Coordinator, Web Services

The Water Environment Federation is a terrific place to work and if you are interested in assisting with the workflow management, editorial quality control, and visual approval of content within the WEF online ecosystem, this may be the job for you.  Some specific responsibilities include ensuring proper Web writing and WEF style practices are followed, identifying and repairing lost links, correcting format issues, and working with stakeholders to replace outdated content.  A bachelor’s degree is preferred with a minimum of two years’ related experience in Web writing and posting. Basic HTML knowledge, CMS experience, and strong computer skills required. Knowledge of the EpiServer CMS is a plus.
