This scholarship provides $25,000 for a post-baccalaureate student in the water environment field. The scholarship is for education related expenses.

Application Requirements and Criteria:

i. Member in good standing of the Water Environment Federation.
ii. Completed online application providing a summary of academic and practical experience in the environmental field.
iii. Official college/university transcripts.
iv. Applicant must be enrolled in a graduate program in the water environment field.  A Letter of acceptance is acceptable for applicants entering their first year within their graduate program.
v. Recommendations from three persons (at least one of these persons must be a member of the Water Environment Federation) who can attest to the applicant's academic and/or practical experience.
vi. A detailed statement of degree objectives as related to applicant's career goals and intent to work in the water environment field (750 words minimum; 1,000 words maximum). Statement must accompany the application.
vii. Recipients of the scholarship are expected to make a commitment to work in the water environment field for two years following completion of the degree.

Online application forms must be completed and submitted along with three letters of reference. Recipient is responsible for taxes due on the award.

WEF Membership Requirements for Application

The Nominee must be a current (not expired) WEF Member, in order to be considered for this Award. 

Additionally, at least one of the three individuals providing a letter of recommendation must be a current (not expired) member of the Water Environment Federation.

Application will be available annually on January 15 and close annually on March 31 at 11:59PM (Eastern).

Note: If awarded, the scholarship funds will be dispersed directly to the recipient within the August/September timeframe during the current year that the WEF application is initially submitted. The scholarship recipient can apply the funds to be used for direct educational expenses such as room and board, tuition and books. Please Note: There may be tax implications on the scholarship funds.
