Our thoughts are with you — our members, friends, and all water professionals — impacted by Hurricane Florence’s relentless rain that has caused serious flooding and imperiled parts of North and South Carolina. We want to ensure that you are informed about federal and other resources as you continue to deal with the storm and begin your recovery process.
Of course, water professionals are on the frontlines of response to emergencies such as this, and stand with each other at times of challenge, including through the WARN network.
Water professionals are also members of their communities with family and other responsibilities to balance at this difficult time. While recovery may not be immediate, we hope you are encouraged not just by the support of the WEF community but by the many citizens and agencies who are concerned and committed to help.
WEF has developed a resource page with links to information that may be helpful to you or other members of your community. WEF encourages members who wish to support those impacted by Hurricane Florence to consider financial donations to the American Red Cross.
As the response and recovery to the hurricane continues, WEF will continue to monitor the impact on the water sector and assist any way our organization is able. When you are able, please send us a note to let us know you are well. Please know that you are not alone and the entire WEF community stands with you.
